India has seen phenomenal economic growth in recent years that has resulted in massive infrastructure projects across the country.
However, in the last few weeks people have protested against the acquisition of their land for industrial projects, accusing the government of inadequate compensation.
With no clear compensation policy in place, many projects have hit roadblocks across the country, and in most cases it is the poor who suffer.
Al Jazeera’s Prerna Suri sent this report from New Delhi.
