Mozambique claws back wildlife losses

Campaign launched to repopulate country’s national parks with giraffes, zebras and other animals.

Mozambique was once a top tourist destination.

After a bloody civil war that ended in 1992, however, more than a million people were killed and the country’s wildlife was decimated.

Now, a campaign has been launched to repopulate its national parks with a variety of animals, including giraffes and zebras.

Al Jazeera’s Tania Page reports from Maputo Special Reserve in Mozambique.
