A high-speed train service run by a German company has made its first crossing between France and Britain using the Channel Tunnel.
The journey is significant because it is the first time a passenger train not run by Eurostar has used the tunnel.
The new link, which will connect London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam within three years, is set to revolutionise the way people travel across Europe.
