Beachgate: Chris Christie caught enjoying New Jersey beach closed for public

The governor of the US state of New Jersey is embroiled in a scandal that some are dubbing “Beachgate”.

Chris Christie is a former presidential candidate and adviser to Donald Trump.

He’s been caught on camera with members of his family, lounging on a beach that had been closed by his own local government in a budget row.
