Nigeria: Meningitis outbreak infects thousands

At least 300 people have died in Nigeria and more than 3,000 are infected in a meningitis outbreak.

It is the worst outbreak of the disease in Nigeria since 2009, when nearly 10,000 cases were recorded.

One of the worst hit areas is Sokoto near the border with Niger.
