Jailed opposition leader Tymoshenko freed

Leader of Ukraine's Orange Revolution, Yulia Tymoshenko, released after parliament votes for her freedom.

    Opposition leader and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has been freed from the hospital where she had been held under prison guard for most of the time since she was convicted in 2011.

    She was jailed for abuse of office over a gas deal with Russia.

    Al Jazeera's Kim Vinnell looks back at her career in politics and what lead to her being jailed.
