On Saturday afternoons in Kabul, women read and discuss their poetry. It is a scene repeated across Afghanistan. The women, many of whom have been denied access to education, recite their work, and others write it down.
Not every aspiring poet can attend. Some phone in their work secretly because their families might not approve.
Afghan women say they are worried that the next government might include the Taliban because they could lose some of their new freedoms.
Jennifer Glasse met one group of women who are empowering themselves through poetry.
