South Africa will achieve its goal of a successful football World Cup.

That is the message from Jerome Valcke, General Secretary of Fifa as he marked the start of a 100 day countdown to the kick off scheduled for June 11.

There has been widespread criticism about the preparations. But the organisers are confident that everything will go ahead as planned.
