Syrian family traumatised by war
Al Jazeera has been following the family a four-year-old girl who was paralysed when a shell hit her home.

Every day shelling and air attacks in Syria are causing suffering for civilians, from displacement to bereavement.


Al Jazeera has been following the trauma suffered by one family from Idlib province.

Four-year-old Maram has been left paralysed from the waist down. her father has been arrested, and her grandfather and uncle have been killed. 

She is now in hospital on the Turkish-Syrian border, from where Andrew Simmons filed this exclusive report after visiting Maram's family home in Idlib.
