Palestinian prime minister in Gaza for reconciliation with Hamas

Hamdallah is the new head of a unity government which will have administrative control over Gaza. But Hamas will remain the dominant power in the region.

Rami Hamdallah, the Palestinian prime minister, has arrived in the Gaza Strip as part of reconciliation efforts between the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority and the Hamas government in Gaza.

Hamdallah is the new head of a unity government which will have administrative control over Gaza. But Hamas will remain the dominant power in the region.
