Passengers face emergency landing

An Argentine passenger jet with 151 people on board is bracing for an emergency landing after losing a wheel on take off.

    The MD-83 plane was flying north with 151 people on board

    Austral airlines flight MD-83 was declared in a state of emergency and was trying to land at Ezeiza International Airport, Air Force spokesman Jorge Reta said on Friday.

    "We are prepared for the landing not to cause an accident," Reta told reporters, confirming that the domestic carrier had been headed to Iguazu Falls in the north.
