Dissident artist's family and supporters begin battle to clear his name.

Ai Weiwei, the Chinese dissident artist, has begun a fight to challenge charges that his company evaded taxes.

Officials say Ai's design firm owes more than $1.8m to the government, allegations his family denies. His supporters insist the charges are politically motivated.
