LA Lakers beat the Nets after Kobe scores 18 points; LeBron stars in Cavaliers’ win over Philadelphia.
Kobe Bryant scored 18 points as the Los Angeles Lakers picked up their first win of the season, rallying for a 104-98 victory over the winless Brooklyn Nets.
Rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell added 16 points as did fellow guard Jordan Clarkson.

Bryant finished 5-of-16 from the floor but missed his first six shots and did not score his first points until hitting a free throw early in the second quarter.
Elsewhere, LeBron James scored 31 points and had 13 assists in Cleveland’s 108-102 victory over Philadelphia.
Cavaliers’ forward Kevin Love contributed 12 points and 14 rebounds, centre Timofey Mozgov scored 13 points and guard Mo Williams added 16 points and eight assists.
Forward Richard Jefferson came off the bench to score 17 points.
Philadelphia’s Nerlens Noel posted his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Sixers.
Forward Tobias Harris scored 20 points as the Orlando Magic handed the Toronto Raptors their first loss of the season, a 92-87 defeat.
Magic guard Victor Oladipo had 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Centre Dewayne Dedmon, getting his first start in place of the injured Nikola Vucevic, had 10 points, four rebounds and three blocks.
