Tyreke Evans scored 15 consecutive fourth-quarter points en route a season-high 30, as New Orleans ruined Kevin Durant’s season debut with a 112-104 victory over Oklahoma City at the Smoothie King Center.

In his first game after missing nearly seven weeks with a broken right foot, Durant played 29 minutes and scored a team-high 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting. Russell Westbrook scored 21 points but finished 6-for-20 from the floor.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Mavericks needed all of Monta Ellis’ game-high 38 points to record a 132-129 double-overtime win over Chicago at the United Center.

Kevin Love had 27 points and 10 rebounds and Cleveland received an unlikely second-half contribution from Mike Miller to win their fourth straight game, a 111-108 victory over Milwaukee.

Robin Lopez hit a layup with 1.3 seconds left as Portland rallied to beat Denver 105-103.
