In the excitement of next year’s World Cup, South Africa has been remembering its all too recent past.
The infamous Robben Island jail held more than 3000 political prisoners during apartheid – the most famous of all was Nelson Mandela.
But the prison was also home to an unlikely football league, as Al Jazeera’s Andy Richardson reports.
