Students across the world often join fraternities or sororities – social organisations that are the backbone of campus life.

Now, the first Muslim sorority has been created in the US called Gamma Gamma Chi and their mission is to promote the positive visibility of Muslim women and to have fun of course.
Everywoman travelled to Baltimore to meet some of the Gamma girls making the most of student life.

Fun while you are young. But what about ladies that are slightly more mature?
Well these glamorous grannies do not sit around knitting.
In fact they are all entrants for a beauty contest, Ms Senior America in Las Vegas, which is the first pageant that honors women who have reached the so-called ‘Age of Elegance’.

A new magazine has been launched just for the young Muslim girl |
Teenagers often feel misunderstood, but in post-September 11 America, Muslim teenagers can be especially isolated.
Adolescent girls in particular struggle against the stereotyped image of them as victims of oppression.
Now a new magazine has been launched just for them.
Muslim Girl magazine contains all the standard teenage fare like problem pages and fashion tips – but for an Islamic audience.
Cowgirls
Cowgirls spend their spare time sitting on top of an enraged bull and holding on for dear life.
Normally it is the men who dice with death in these American rodeos but now the sport is becoming increasingly popular with women.
Everywoman joined two cowgirls in Texas, competing to be the best bull rider in the world.
