Tumour half of boy’s weight removed

In Mexico City, doctors have made history by removing a tumour, which his doctors believe may have been one of the largest in the world, from a two-year-old boy.

Jesus Gabriel was born with the tumour but as he grew, so did the tumour. The growth eventually stretched from his hip to his armpit, and so heavy that it began to cut off his oxygen supply.

A team of eight surgeons took on the difficult challenge of removing the tumour in an operation that lasted 10 hours.
