Video: Senegal split over statue

Senagalese say government has got its priorities wrong by spending $27m on sculpture.

     

    The Monument of the African Renaissance is a bronze statue standing almost 50m-high and costing Senegal $27m to build. 

    As work on the project nears completion, many are asking whether the government has got its priorities right.
