Nobel Prize: 2018 award for literature postponed

Several members of the Swedish Academy, including its first female leader, have resigned in protest of the handling of a sexual assault scandal, prompting the postponement of the Nobel Prize for literature.

    The Nobel Prize for literature will not be awarded this year.

    The Swedish Academy, which makes the decision on the literature award, has been in crisis over its handling of rape and sexual assault allegations linked to one of its high-ranking members.
