US-China trade war heats up with tariffs

China is retaliating with new tariffs on US goods as trade tensions continue to escalate. It is imposing tariffs of 25 percent on over 100 types of US products, including soybeans, cars, alcohol and tobacco.

China is retaliating with new tariffs on US goods as trade tensions continue to escalate. It is imposing tariffs of 25 percent on over 100 types of US products, including soybeans, cars, alcohol and tobacco.

Those products were worth $50bn last year. The Commerce Ministry also says it is taking a case to the World Trade Organization.
