Al Jazeera journalist relishes reunion with family

Baher Mohamed, who spent 411 days in an Egyptian prison, vows to “be strong” ahead of retrial in Cairo on Sunday.

Baher Mohamed, one of three Al Jazeera English journalists imprisoned by the Egyptian government in December 2013, has been released on bail after 411 days pending a retrial.

Mohamed speaks about being reunited with his family, life in prison and his hopes for the future.

Along with his colleagues Peter Greste and Mohamed Fahmy, Baher Mohamed has been awarded a prestigious British journalism prize.

The Royal Television Society on Wednesday presented its Judges’ Award to the three journalists in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the advancement of television journalism.
