Fighting shuts hospitals in Yemen’s Taiz
Humanitarian situation worsens as homes go without power, supplies cannot enter and medical facilities close down.

Heavy fighting in the central Yemeni city of Taiz has forced more than 30 hospitals and medical facilities to close.
Doctors say they also face an acute shortage of supplies. In addition to that, the humanitarian situation is getting worse by the day.
Many homes are without power, food and water are scarce, and supplies cannot get in.
Al Jazeera’s Gerald Tan describes the battle for the city and its impact on civilians.
