Gaza and West Bank football teams face off

    Al-Shejaiya welcomed its West Bank opposition Ahli Al-Khalil to Gaza for the first time since 2000.

    Israel granted the players permission to cross its territory for the first time in years. The Israeli blockade normally makes it difficult for Palestinians to move in and out of Gaza.

    The match brought hopes of a single Palestinian league closer.
