Yemen offensive against al-Qaeda continues

Yemen’s army has continued its operation to wrest control over cities and towns from suspected al-Qaeda fighters in the country’s south.

The intensified military operation came as fighters attacked two army positions, killing an aide to the country’s defence minister and nine other soldiers in Shabwa province.
