Iraq’s poor sceptical about poll promises

Nearly 10 million Iraqis live on or below the poverty line, making do with less than $5 a day, according to government figures.

In the campaigning for the elections, poverty has become a big issue, but many of the poorest have no faith that a vote will change anything. 

Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan reports from what is called the Tin City, a sprawling slum in the north east of Baghdad where at least 25,000 people live.
