Kashmir street performers revive ancient art

Bhand Pather artist work to keep alive centuries-old tradition of spreading the news in age of social media.

For centuries, Kashmiri street theatre was how ordinary citizens obtained news and spread messages from town to town. This has proved more difficult in the age of social media, but that has not deterred the Bhand Pather artists from persisting to keep the tradition alive.
