Freed Nigerian hostages tell of ordeal

Women held by Boko Haram speak out after thousands of Nigerian troops took part in resuce operation.

They spent more than two weeks in captivity and now Al Jazeera has gained access to nine women and children taken hostage by Boko Haram.

Thousands of Nigerian troops took part in the operation that freed them in Maiduguri on Friday.

But rights groups say the government may have exploited the incident to take control of the region and impose emergency law.

Al Jazeera’s Yvonne Ndege reports from Maiduguri, Nigeria.
