Aceh separatists in Indonesia seek new flag
Hundreds rally to demand that separatist flag be made official symbol of autonomous province.

About 3,000 people in the Aceh region of Indonesia have rallied in support of a separatist flag being made the official symbol of the province.
The protesters are demanding that the government accept their decision to use the flag of the disbanded Free Aceh Movement, which reached a peace deal with Indonesia in 2005.
Indonesian law, however, prohibits the use of separatist flags and symbols.
