‘Al-Qaeda making comeback’ in Iraq’s Kirkuk
Spate of attacks in northern Iraqi province prompts authorities to warn of return of groups linked to al-Qaeda.

There has been rise in the number of terror attacks in the northern Iraqi province of Kirkuk, prompting warnings from government officials that groups linked with al-Qaeda are making a comeback.
At least 16 people were killed in a suicide attack – seventh in the past six months – in the northern province this week.
Baghdad and Erbil squabble over control of Kirkuk, while security situation continues to worsen.
