The department will serve the public interest by uncovering malfeasance, wrongdoing and abuses of power.

The stories it has produced have led the global news agenda.

They include The Palestine Papers , which revealed thousands of minutes, emails and memos charting over a decade of the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

The department gained access to Pakistan’s Bin Laden Dossier, which the government had tried to suppress.

The BAFTA-nominated investigation, What Killed Arafat?  made a major breakthrough in solving the mystery of how the Palestinian leader had died.

The documentary revealed scientists had found high levels of radioactive polonium in the blood and urine stains on the clothes Arafat was wearing in the days before he died. It suggested the Palestinian leader was poisoned.

The Investigations Team has staff in Doha, London, Washington DC and San Francisco.

Our staff members have won dozens of major journalism accolades.

They include the Pulitzer Prize, Emmys and awards from the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA), the Royal Television Society (RTS) and the Monte Carlo Television Festival.
