Inventor of wireless TV remote dies

Eugene Polley created in 1955 the revolutionary Zenith TV Flash-matic, which lives on in homes around the world.

Eugene Polley is not exactly a household name, but his 1955 invention lives on in homes across the world.
The creator of the first wireless remote control, called the Zenith TV Flash-matic, died of natural causes on Sunday at the age of 96 in Chicago, Illinois, the same city he was born in.
