Chile’s hunt continues for Pinochet millions

Wealth allegedly embezzled by late leader is not accounted for in his recently opened last will.

The Chilean government had hoped to discover what happened to the estimated multi-million dollar fortune of Augusto Pinochet, the country’s late leader, when it opened his will last week.

But the document was considered invalid, so the search will continue for the money that Pinochet, who had ruled over Chile from 1973 to 1981, had allegedly embezzled from public funds while in power.
