Autism ‘more common’ than thought

New study says neurological disorder may affect more than previously thought.

A new study indicates that autism may be much more common than previously thought.

US, Canadian and Korean scientists evaluated more than 55,000 children in schools across South Korea.

They say their findings suggest that many children with the neurological disorder may be going undiagnosed.

Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher reports from Washington, DC, where one family is learning to cope with the challenges of raising an autistic child.
