Libya’s opposition has appointed Abdel Fatah Yunis, Muammar Gaddafi’s former interior minister who joined the opposition in the early days of protests, as the head of its military forces.

On Friday, opposition forces attempted to get more organised and structured in their approach, as they took on pro-Gaddafi forces near the oil town of Brega.
