Colombian FARC hostage freed after 12 years

Only survivor of botched rescue attempt reunites with family as relatives of victims denounce police mission.

Juan Manuel Santos, the president of Colombia, has met the sole survivor of a botched rescue attempt that ended with the deaths of four other hostages.

Luis Alberto Erazo, the freed hostage, described the police sergeant who led the rescue mission as a national hero. Still, families of the victims had harsh words for the government and its handling of the mission.
