Violence persists in south Thailand

Latest attack in Yala indicates conflict in largely Muslim south remains unresolved.

It has been a deadly start to July in southern Thailand with at least eight people killed in two separate bomb attacks.

More than 4,000 people have lost their lives since violence worsened six years ago.

It is unclear who is behind the conflict, which has long been blamed on Muslim fighters.

Al Jazeera’s Wayne Hay reports.
