Liberia police face uncertain times

Forces prepare to take over control from the UN as nation gears up for election.

Liberia’s police force is preparing to take control of its own security after years of relying on the United Nations.
 
The service was hit particularly hard by its seven-year civil war, and as the country gears up for a national election there are concerns it won’t be able to go it alone.
