Some estimates suggest that as many as one in three American soldiers may be affected by post-traumatic stress disorder.
The ailment is invisible, and sometimes deadly – blamed for a spike in army suicides, murders and depression.
But some soldiers say the army only considers physical injuries to be real ones.
