Activist fears over Belarus vote

Belarus is holding a presidential election on Sunday, with Alexander Lukashenko, the country’s presdient, widely expected to be re-elected for a fourth term.
After 16 years in office, Lukashenko has become Europe’s longest serving leader. But opposition candidates say they are facing intimidation, and have told Al Jazeera that the post-Soviet state will continue to lack the freedoms that characterise other Euopean countries if Lukashenko is re-elected.
