Art project gives Haiti slum a facelift
Neighbourhood plagued by poverty painted with pastel colours in project some say just camouflages misery.

Jalousie, a neighbourhood in Haiti with hardly any electricity or water, is now part of the project “beauty versus poverty”.
The poorly built cinder block homes, clinging to the side of a mountain, are being painted with different pastel blues, reds and yellows.
While some residents say the project make them proud of their neighbourhood, others say it is a way to camouflage misery.
