Germany rebuffs Greek debt appeal
New Greek government running out of places to find support in Europe in its effort to abandon austerity.

The new Greek finance minister has met his German counterpart for the first time since the Syriza party swept to power, promising to end austerity. However, Germany’s finance minister is sceptical about Greece’s plan to cut its massive debt.
