Cuba invites foreign companies to invest

Communist state takes steps to open up markets after decades of strict government control.

Cuba needs foreign investment. But decades of central state control of the economy, as well as the US embargo, have hindered the growth of foreign trade.

The Communist government is now making efforts to further open its market.
