Egypt-US rift remains as NGO workers depart

Seven US citizens, among 43 workers from non-governmental organisations charged with operating without a license and receiving illegal foreign funds, have departed for home.

The Americans were released on bail after US officials threatened to cut aid to Egypt, but the diplomatic crisis might not be over.
