UK county shows consumer resilience
Public spending remains significantly high in Kent despite economic recession.

The global economic crisis has knocked down consumer confidence throughout the world.
To combat the problem, many countries are keeping banks’ interest rates low, hoping that more loans will lead to greater retail spending.
But the British county of Kent is an example of a place that has shown resilence as average consumer spending remains significantly high.
Al Jazeera’s Laurence Lee reports from Kent on efforts to shop the county out of recession.
