Anger over Brazil’s move to up oil stake

Brazil’s president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has proposed a law that would give the state-owned oil giant Petrobras a minimum 30 per cent stake in all future oil projects.

Many critics in Brazil have long argued that the profits from the oil industry need to be distributed more fairly around the country.

But not everyone is happy with the nationalisation plans as Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports from Sao Paulo.
