At least 31 bodies have been removed from a mass grave in the Mexican state of Veracruz.

Investigators made the discovery on a ranch outside the town of Tres Valles, about 100kms south of the city of Veracruz.

The state has seen years of drug cartel violence and attacks on migrants trying to reach the US.
