
Belarus unrest: Opposition leader asks UN to condemn crackdown
There have been demonstrations across Belarus since the August 9 election.
Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya is calling on the United Nations to condemn the government’s violent crackdown on protesters.
They accuse President Alexander Lukashenko of rigging the election last month.
