Trying to stay afloat: Dutch heritage vessels sail in protest
Dutch owners of historic sailing vessels set out to sea to protest the coronavirus pandemic’s effect on tourism.
In the Netherlands, a fleet of historical sailing ships is staging an unusual protest.
They want the government to do something to help them maintain their boats, which have found a new life as tourist vessels.
With the coronavirus pandemic and physical distancing measures making it impossible to achieve the volume they need, the owners fear they will lose their ships.
