UK charity services: Volunteers see sharp rise in need for help

Al Jazeera looks at the charities and volunteers filling the gaps, as the UK’s welfare system is overwhelmed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Coronavirus numbers in the United Kingdom may be heading lower, but charities say they are seeing a sharp rise in people needing their services.

Al Jazeera’s Laurence Lee reports from Stoke-on-Trent in the UK.
