Philippines: Valenzuela city begins mass localised testing

It has been described as the country’s very first localised mass COVID-19 testing programme.

There is a growing demand in the Philippines for wide-scale COVID-19 testing.

The government says a testing programme could take weeks to set up because resources are stretched.

But one city north of the capital, Manila, is going ahead with its own tests to flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic.
